Chevrotains are the smallest of hoofed mammals, Asian species weighing as little as one-and-a-half pounds.
The chevrotains are inhabitants of the Old World tropical forests and have gone virtually unchanged for 30 million years.
The reproductive biology of chevrotains is limited.
· Chevrotains are sometimes called “mouse deer”, but they are not really deer.
Chevrotains are small, secretive creatures, now found only in the tropical forests of Africa, India, and South-east Asia. (Full text)
